RM3mil goes up in smoke after fire at storage facility
GURUN: Foam used for car seats, fabric and machinery went up in smoke when fire destroyed a storage facility at a factory here, causing losses estimated around RM3mil.
A security guard noticed the fire at C.N.A. Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, which produces car seats for Naza vehicles, and immediately alerted the Fire and Rescue Department.
No one was injured in the 1.20pm incident yesterday.
The 150 workers at the facility, which is about 2km from the Naza factory in Gurun Industrial Park, were on their lunch break at that time.

Fire engines from Sungai Petani, Guar Chempedak, Yan and Alor Setar with 36 firemen put out the blaze.
Assisting them were 11 voluntary units with more than 50 personnel.
